TSA bag-screening issue causes over 3,000 bags to miss flights leaving Phoenix airport | Fox News

Might 12, 2016: A bag-screening problem created greater than 3,000 bags inspected bags to miss their outgoing air travels

in Phoenix az. (@MarcyJonesFox10) A bag-screening problem has created more than 3,000 examined bags to miss their outbound air travels Thursday in Phoenix metro. Transport Safety and security Management spokesperson Nico Melendez claimed the technological problem started about 6:45 a.m. Thursday at Phoenix metro Sky Harbor International Airport terminal.

“TSA is functioning faithfully with our airline company and airport partners and also making use of alternate screening tools to screen bags, though those approach are not as reliable as our automatic system,” he stated in a claim. TSA urges passengers to continuously get to Phoenix az Sky Harbor early.”

A speaker with the flight terminal told Fox 10 Phoenix az that tourists need to stay clear of inspecting bags when possible, and that the issue is only impacting outbound trips.
