My Morning Jacket announced that they would be releasing their first accurate new album in six years last month. Experienced rockers have just released a vibrant video for “Profit Profit”, the second single from their upcoming record.
Developing a lively, modern Beatles, the video revolves around bands with neon collages and pop art as they jam. The spotted guitar reef brings a classic rock feel to the video with a rainbow flair on the head.
Frontman Jim James said, “Love is love.” I’m trying to take the ship away from what I’m saying in regular scheduled programming, and I’m talking about positivity and pure love. “Finding the truth in yourself and in the world around you.”
The mesmerizing video was directed by George Mays with animation done by Mero. Their upcoming self-titled album will hit ATO Records on October 22nd.
This is after the release of the first track of the expected album, “Regular Scheduled Programming”.
The last music of the eclectic rock group was the 2015 Grammy-nominated Waterfalls, fountains. The band will begin their first U.S. title tour in six years this month. My Morning Jacket is back on stage at the Paramount Theater in Seattle (October 1-2), at the Chicago Auditorium Theater (November 6-6) and at the Mission Ballroom in Denver (December 29-31).
