Wendy Williams is reported to have been hospitalized for a psychiatric assessment.
TMZ reported that Wendy was taken to hospital on Tuesday, just a day before the announcement that the new season of ‘Wendy Williams Show’ would be delayed after a positive test for Covid-1 for.
Sources close to Wendy told TMZ that she had voluntarily been admitted to a hospital in New York City to be mentally ill and had been struggling with her mental health for some time.
While dealing with her mental health, Wendy also has covid, but she is reported to be asymptomatic and doctors are also monitoring her physical health.
It was not immediately clear when Wendy would be released, but things seemed to be getting better as sources said her mental health continued to improve.
We previously reported that Wendy’s 13th season of her talk show, which was set for a September 20 premiere, would be pushed to the first week of October.
His team released an official statement on his Instagram account, saying, “While continuing his health assessment, Wendy tested positive for COVID-19 in a groundbreaking case. To ensure that the DGA complies with the Covid-Protocol, we expect the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show to begin on Monday, October 4th.
Last week, the producers further revealed that Wendy is working on an “ongoing health problem” and will not participate in the show’s promotional activities as she has been assessed.
