Drake is arguably one of the best entertainers of the last decade, and his stats and accomplishments can support it! He recently won the Billboard Artist of the Decade Award and made history with his latest album, Certified Lover Boy, nine of the album’s 10 songs topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
Drake surpassed Michael Jackson to hold the record for the most 10 hits on the same album – ‘Thriller’ since 1982 – sparking an online debate over whether the success of Champagne Papi could be compared to that of Prince of Pop. Prince, son of Michael Jackson, recently said it was impossible to achieve his father’s level of success.
“I mean, everyone has their own definition of great, and all the respect for Drake and what he does,” Prince told Tufab. “But what my father and my family did, what they did at the time, is unlikely to ever happen again.”
Just a few weeks ago, through a Twitter account, social media went into a frenzy over whether Drake in 2021 would be bigger than his boss Michael Jackson? The controversy erupted at the beginning of Drake’s CLB success, but the irresistible reaction on social media called MJK the greatest of all time.
One fan commented, “Michael kicked people out of his show because he came on stage and took off his glasses.”
Ninth Wonder’s Twitter account wrote, “We just can’t be bothered,” “There’s no comparison to Michael Jackson. We will never see it again. Everyone was home during the thriller. At home. I mean, stop what you’re doing and run home.
Drizzy still doesn’t respond to comparisons.
