Damon Alburn has released a video for The Tower of Montevideo

Damon Alburn’s latest solo album is nearing release, and he’s giving a hint of what’s to come by sharing a new video for “The Tower of Montevideo.”

Inspired by the iconic 1920s building in Palacio Salvo, Uruguay, the track is dedicated to Alburn’s love for South America. Near the fountain, more pure currents Is flowing Alburn’s new record, November 12 via Transgressive Records. Upcoming, 11-track records are a collection of Alburn storytelling explores fragility, loss, emergence and rebirth. Initially meant to be an orchestral piece, Alburn returned and wrote music during the epidemic lockdown. The album is available for pre-order.

In addition to its digital release, there are limited edition vinyl formats, including CDs and cassettes. Near the fountain, more pure currents Is flowing. This CD includes a 20-minute hidden track “Haldufulk” that inspired some of the themes of the record.

The founding member of Blair will go on a short European tour in the spring of next year.
