Roommates, a few months after resigning as governor of New York over allegations of sexual harassment, Andrew Cuomo is now facing charges of forcible touching after one of his alleged victims filed a formal complaint.
A one-page complaint filed by an investigator in the Albany County Sheriff’s Office accuses Andrew Cuomo of harassing a woman on December 7, 2020. Although the latest indictment did not name the accused, Cuomo’s former aide, Brittany Comiso, had previously alleged that Cuomo had held her at the governor’s palace at the same time last year.
The office of District Attorney David Soares said it was shocked by the criminal filing. “Like the rest of the public, we are surprised to learn today that the Albany County Sheriff’s Office has filed a criminal complaint against Andrew Cuomo in Albany City Court. The court administration’s office has made that filing public. Our office will not comment further on this case. ”
If convicted, New York State carries a one-year prison sentence and three years of apprenticeship for forcible touching তবে but the court has the discretion to impose lesser fines, as there is absolutely no time in prison.
As we reported earlier, Andrew Cuomo has strongly denied sexual harassment to Comiso, previously saying, “I have to lose my mind to do something like that.”
