Mason did not elaborate on the cause or nature of her husband’s death, but TMZ reported that Johnson’s nephew told them he had “died in a Los Angeles store earlier this month and was taken to hospital.”

Johnson was later pronounced dead. The cause and date of his death have not yet been revealed.
