Gang of Four has announced the 2022 North American Tour

Gang of Four has announced that they will be touring North America next year, their first since the death of co-founder and lead guitarist Andy Gill in early 2020.

Serving their record-breaking catalog music from ’77 -’83, Post-Punkers will hit the track off Entertainment! (1979), Raw gold (1981), and Free songs (1982). The tour line-up will not include founding member Dave Allen for personal reasons, but will be joined by John King and Hugo Burnham bassist Sarah Lee and guitarist David Pazo, who will replace Gill.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, October 22 on the Gang of Four’s website.

Gill died of pneumonia and multiple organ failure last February, yet his widow suggested it was caused by a coronavirus. An all-star compilation was released earlier this year in honor of Tom Morello, Serge Tankian, Flya, John Frusciente, IDLS and Gill and Gang of Four.

Hugo Burnham said, “I’m thrilled to be back next spring with two of my favorite gangsters and a new one.” “John, Sarah, and I can’t wait for Stalin to make a loud noise with the awesome and great David Pazo. Bring your heart and your earplugs. “
