Gayle King meets the woman who once again saved Kelly

Azriel Clary, One of the women who testified about the ongoing torture she endured during the relationship And Kelly, Speaking again after his camouflage and sex trafficking trial.

On Thursday (t0 September), Clary sat exclusively with CBS Morning co-host Gayle King In his first interview after the verdict.

During Kelly’s trial, Clary testified that her relationship with Kelly began when she was 17 years old. She was sexually and physically abused and Kelly forced her to have an abortion.

Clary once defended Kelly and denied any abuse during King’s 2019 interview. At the time, he had been living with Kelly for five years. But in January 2020, Clary later admitted that she had been tortured and brainwashed by Kelly for lying.

“What do you think someone can say or do to help you get out of the situation quickly?” King asked Clary.

The 23-year-old quickly responded, “Nothing. I think it’s something I had to wake up to, something I could realize on my own. A lot of people don’t realize that you try to help the victims as much as you can.” The more you do, the more it will annoy them at times.

Clary also shared what it was like to say such a graphic and painful testimony in a courtroom while sitting on the stand and looking at Kelly during the trial.

“I think it was very annoying to recapture these moments,” she said, holding back tears. “I don’t know; I was happy with one piece because I felt that this person no longer had control over me, “he said.” You don’t tell me what to do and what to wear and where to go. ”

Clary says she took responsibility for her actions and felt it was essential to sit down with the king once more, “It’s okay to reevaluate your life. It’s okay to change your mind. You’re never old enough to wake up and say, ‘Hey, I I thought it was good for me, but in reality it wasn’t. ”

According to CBS News, Kelly was convicted of nine counts of rape and sex trafficking in a high-profile case, including hours of graphic testimony from the singer’s accusers and eyewitnesses to her behavior.
