Georgia news anchor Jovita Moore has died after a battle with brain cancer

We extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Georgia News Anchor Jovita Moore who passed away last night. His station, WSBTV Announced his death and shared that he passed away after his battle with brain cancer.

According to the station, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma in April after doctors discovered two masses in his brain. It has been noted that glioblastoma is not something that is hereditary, and at the moment, there is no cure for this disease. There are only treatments that are able to slow its progress.

Jovita, a native of New York, graduated from Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont and graduated from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City, leaving behind her mother, two children and an honest daughter.

Jovita has been with the WSBTV team in Atlanta since 1998.

After the news of his death, respect began to fall from all sides.
