Kevin Whelan’s Avon Station announces first album Observatory, shares ‘Queens’

Kevin Wheylan of The Warrens has formed a new band called Aon Station. The group will release their debut album Observatory 10 December.
Observatory A 10-track record, which includes more than 14 years of valuable demos and sketches of Huilan. The album is now available for pre-order from Sub Pop to CD / LP / DSP.
While this is not a Wrens album, which was the expectation of many of their patient fans, it is certainly a great consolation prize.
Collected and recorded on a large scale by Huylan himself, the Aeon station is made up of Warren bandmates Jerry MacDonald and Greg Wheylan and musician Tom Beaujoir and his wife, Mary Ann.
Aeon Station has released their first single, “Queens,” which is filled with bashing drums and monster guitars.
“This song was inspired by one of my all-time favorite songs,‘ The Winner Takes It All ’by ABBA,” Helen said. “It’s real about you bet. Like playing high-stakes poker, you push all your chips into the center of the table and aren’t afraid to go ‘all inside’. It starts with a single voice, creates the story of coming, the drums carry the song forward, a force working its way to the climax of a repetitive line – ‘You said it was all there.’ ‘
As Huilan said a New York Times In Monday’s interview, five songs from the album were written for the Rance album.
