It rained all day until about an hour before the 8PM show. It was damp and very windy, and yet it didn’t stop thousands of fans from going out to see Stykes ’performance and the band certainly didn’t disappoint!
When friends tell me they don’t go to classic rock concerts anymore because “it’s not the original member,” I tell them that many bands are better or better than their predecessors.
Styx is definitely one of those bands. Although the guitar and vocals feature James Young as only one key member,
And the occasional presence of the real bassist Chuck Panozzo, The band is full of talent.

Tommy Shaw (years) The lowest quality guitarist and vocalist,

And the band performed amazing Todd Sucharman (25 years) on drums and vocals,

Lawrence Goan (21 years) on key and lead vocals,

And round out with lightning and vocals with Ricky Phillips (17 years).

When you see them perform it is clear that they all enjoy playing together, and in my book they all consider everyone as key members for a long time together.
The band did two sets, the show started with “Gone Gone” and ended with 11 songs “Suite Madame Blue”. After a break of about 25 minutes, the band returned with “Miss America” and finished a set of 10 songs with “Eso Pal Pal”. After a brief hiatus, the band returns to “Mr. Roboto” and “Renegade” as Encores.
Fans were all there until the end of the show so the premiere concert event at the Midflorida Credit Union Event Center was a huge success.
