Shooting concert in Eugene, Oregon hospitalized six

Eugene shot a concert, or hospitalized six people. The incident happened in the parking lot of WOW Hall at 9:30 pm on Friday when rappers Lil Bean and Jay Bang were performing inside the venue. One of the victims is currently in critical condition and undergoing surgery.

Eugene Police Chief Chris Skinner told a news conference that police arrived at the scene less than three minutes after the shooting. “What exactly do you expect when law enforcement comes to the scene when six people have been shot? “People are just trying to get out of here, their friends are on the ground, they’re trying to help,” he said.

“You may have heard that the ‘Lil Bean + Zay Bang’ concert was shot outside the WOW Hall tonight. Not much information is available at this time, but we heard gunshots in the back parking lot. The motives are not yet known. We know that some people were injured, but we do not know the extent of the injuries and we do not want to speculate, “said WOW Hall Interim Executive Director Dev Maher and Board Chair Jesse Guerrera in a statement. “We believe that all the staff and volunteers are safe and responsible for this. It is unprecedented if WOW. The police are investigating.”

The suspect is still at large and police do not have much information. “We have a man wearing a hoodie who was seen running west on 8th (Avenue) just after the shooting,” Skinner said. “We think it’s suspicious, but we don’t really have much information.” He further added that the witnesses did not initially cooperate with the authorities.

Eugene Police Department calls 541-682-5111 if you have information about the shooting or shooter of the concert.
