SuperChank Announces Upcoming Album Wild Loneliness, First Single ‘Endless Summer’ Share


SuperChank returns with an upcoming record announcement, Wild loneliness, And its first single release, “Endless Summer.”

Wild loneliness Published February 25th. The album was recorded in the band’s home state of North Carolina during the Covid Lockdown, and was mixed by Wally Gagel, who mixed the 1995 SuperChank. Here’s where the string comes from.

The new track features harmonies by teenage fan club Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley. A limited edition 7-inch “Endless Summer” single yellow vinyl is now available to order via Merge. On the B-side is a cover of The Glands “When I Smile” (featuring William Tyler on guitar).

“‘Endless Summer’ was written on New Year’s Day 2020 which was unseasonably warm here in North Carolina,” said Frontman Mac McGann. “Of course, when we recorded it, ‘Endless Summer’ had another meaning … 7 ্ল The sleeve contains beautiful photos of the broken beach umbrella of Row Ethereus that perfectly captures the essence of the song.”
