The CEO of the LGBTQ organization says Dabby closed the hook to comment out loud, but Dave Chappell did not show “sympathy or remorse” for the comedy in particular.

Dabby and Dave Chappell have shared the warmth of the LGBTQ community over the past few months, after the two made controversial comments about the LGBTQ community. Although both of them have endured the reaction, it looks like an agency is willing to forgive Dabby, while still apologizing to Dave.

If you recall, LGBTQ companies offered to meet with DaBaby, and Dave Chappell agreed to meet with Netflix staff when Dave joked about DaBaby’s involvement in a murder case rather than the sensitivity of the LGBTQ community. Since then, DaBaby has issued a public apology, and has met with nine HIV-aware organizations to apologize. Dave, on the other hand, says he is willing to meet with members of the community but will do so on his own terms.

Gwendolyn D. Clemons, CEO of LQBT org ‘Relationship Unleashed’, told TMZ that its nonprofit members support DaBaby’s continued career development because he took the time to educate himself about how his comments were harmful and detrimental. Clemens said his organization taught Dababi the history behind the effects of HIV / AIDS in his hometown of Charlotte, NC.

For Dave Chappell, Clemens told TMZ that the comedian showed no “sympathy or remorse” for his comments and “knows exactly what he’s doing.” He labeled Dave’s remarks about the LGBTQ community as “disguised hate speech as a joke.”

As we reported earlier, Dave Chappell joked about being sensitive to the LGBTQ community after trying to cancel the media dabby to comment on HIV. During his comedy special ‘The Closure’, Dave said that killing someone in America is more acceptable than “hurting the feelings of a gay person”.

Dave has since spoken out against the rumors that he has refused to meet with members of the LGBTQ community, saying, “To the transgender community, I’m willing to give you an audience, but you’ll call me. I’m not bowing to anyone’s demands.”
