Alpo Martinez – a notorious former drug dealer in Harlem – is believed to have been shot dead, according to multiple people on social media, according to MTO News.
This morning, MTO News confirmed that a 55-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting on a Harlem street corner. The victim’s chest was hit more than once in a hail of bullets fired from a passing car at W. 147th St. near Frederick Douglas Blovidi. Just after 3:20 am, police said.

The man died after being taken to hospital. Police have not yet released his name, but we believe the man killed may have been the infamous former drug dealer / murderer Alpo Martinez.

Alpo was a drug dealer of Puerto Rican descent from Harlem, New York City. He rose to fame in the mid-1980s and rose to prominence after playing the role of rapper Cameron in the popular 2002 biographical film Paid in Full.
Martinez had a history of extreme violence and is believed to have killed dozens of people.
Martinez was released in 2015 while serving a 35-year sentence for 14 murders at the Federal Supermax Prison ADX Florence in Fremont County, Colorado. He was expelled early because he testified against former associates and has been living under the U.S. Witness Protection Program ever since.
