Ricardo Land has recorded a tick-tock video of multiple rats crawling around a DC poppy and it has gone viral. Because of his actions, he now says he was fired without pay.
Creating a GoFundMe, he explains that he needs to take care of a father of five and his family. Ricardo wrote, ” I was fired for publishing the Popeys franchise due to a swarm of rats in place[.]Land says, “I have a family of 5 and my family will be harmed by my employer because of this incident.[.[“ Initially requesting $10,000, he has now raised nearly $20,000.
Since the viral video, the Popeye’s has been shut down, according to an email.
Popeye’s has also released a statement and said, “Food safety and cleanliness is a top priority at Popeyes,” the company said in a statement. “This restaurant has been temporarily closed, and the Franchisee who owns and operates this location is taking the appropriate steps to address the issue.”
It’s also reported that the restaurant received 17 violations in October, “including rat droppings outside near the grease bin, openings in the kitchen ceiling and water pooled in the walk-in fridge, dishwashing area and manager’s office,” Black Enterprise reports.
Speaking of Popeye’s Megan Thee Stallion and the fast-food company just partner to introduce a new sauce.
It looks like Megan Thee Stallion is in her bag once again, this time she is teaming up with the fast-food franchise Popeyes, to drop her very own sauce.
The two announced her very own “Hottie Sauce,” which customers will be able to add to their orders starting on October 19th. According to Yahoo, the sauce is described as “a sweet and bold sauce with a hint of spice, inspired by Megan’s sassy personality,” and includes honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper.”
