All good things have an end! If you are a strict Selzer consumer, one of them will no longer be an option to buy. According to a report from TMZ, Anheuser-Busch will no longer be the home of Travis Scott’s popular hard seltzer ‘CACTI’. The beverage company has decided to discontinue adult beverages.
In a statement on Friday, the company said: “After careful evaluation, we have decided to discontinue all production and brand development of CACTI Agave Spiked Seltzer. We believe brand fans will understand and respect this decision. “
The partnership with Travis and Anheuser-Busch seemed great. Rolling Stone reported in April that CACTI representatives announced that Fruity Spiked Beverages had broken several records and sold more in the first week than any other variety pack in the history of Anheuser-Busch. The report further states that the drink was sold in many stores in one day.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. However, a source told TMZ that both sides agreed to end November 30, saying “this is not an ongoing agreement cancellation or termination.” Travis did not comment on the news, but many do not think that his recent interview with Charlemagne Tha God has anything to do with the timing of the announcement.
As we reported earlier, Travis’ first sit-down interview after the Astroworld tragedy was published on Thursday. During the interview, Travis denied knowing about any injuries or deaths among fans until the end of his headlining performance. Travis continues to deny legal liability, and he and event organizers are cooperating with investigators.
Roommates, do you think another beverage company should take CACTI?
