Vanessa Bryant’s legal team responds after requesting a psychiatric test for those involved in the LA County request.

Roommate, Los Angeles County has filed a new motion in the ongoing lawsuit against them. As previously reported, Vanessa Bryant and other families have joined forces to sue the county for leaking pictures of the helicopter crash that killed nine people, including Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant. The county filed a motion Friday requesting that Vanessa, her daughter and others involved in the case submit for a psychiatric examination.

According to CNN, LA County is arguing that an “independent medical examination” should formally determine whether their mental anguish was caused by the accident itself or the photo was leaked.

Now, Vanessa’s team has responded to the proposal by saying that the county should look for “less intrusive ways” to assess stress. If a court rules that families comply with this request, it means that individuals, including “four teenagers, a 10-year-old child and a 5-year-old kindergartener,” must undergo an eight-hour test.

Vanessa’s attorneys added that the plaintiffs ‘suffering “is a feeling that a reasonable person can feel if government officials responsible for protecting the dignity of their deceased family members snatch graphic images of their loved ones’ remains, use the images to entertain cocktail hours, and capture and secure images.” Failed.

The hearing for this new development is scheduled for November 5, but the trial will not begin until February 2022.
